Chocolate-flavored by any other name would not...

I know this post flies in the face of my Blog's title but I have to point this out! The FDA is about to commit a crime against man, nature, and chocolate (not necessarily in that order). They are looking to redefine chocolate so that it can contain vegetable oil rather than cocoa butter as well as other unspeakable, unnatural acts. This is being driven by the big candy companies who want to save money and lower quality. Think what this would mean. You'd go to a store and everything would say it's chocolate yet much of it would be low quality, oily muck. You would have to look at every chocolate label before purchase. The market would become flooded with cheap products, making it harder for the good stuff to get shelf space. You would never feel safe in your home. The US would lose all credibility in the international chocolate market, potentially hurting future American Chocolatiers...

If this happens, it would cause the most blatant case of fraudulent advertising since my suit against the film, "The Never-Ending Story", er, I digress.

Seriously, tell the FDA this is dumb...

It's clear to me that if the US government does this then the terrorist win.

We have to fight these chocolatiers over there, so we don't have to fight them over here.
Seriously, let's fight some chocolatiers.

These are indeed "chocolate tears". Let us not shed them in vain.

(Are all chocolate tears bittersweet?)

Besides, "Chocolate tiers" sound like visually interesting structures, and I would love to cruch them between my teeth.

I filed my comments.

Why does the FDA hate America?
